Need A Fashion Intervention For Winter? Help Is Here

If you’re anything like me and you’re beginning to look at your closet with the same amounts of passion as a blind date, it’s probably time for a fashion intervention. Thankfully climbing out of the sartorial ruts dating is a lot easier than navigating the dating landscape. It’s time to tap a newer source of motivation, yes it is that easy. If you’re in the mood to experiment with a new style or simply desire to find different ways to wear the clothes you already possess, here are several winter outfits you can duplicate all winter long.

Almost any ensemble outfit can be your winter go-to by simply adding black tights and a turtleneck. Tights and turtlenecks are totally in this winter season. Black tights can be worn under a loose cream or tan colored slack, a colorful print mid-skirt or any other number of combinations.

That favorite fringed skirt worn all summer can also be transformed into your favorite winter attire by simply adding a thin sweater, a pair of black tights and some black over the knee boots. This winter fashion look makes use of the summer clothing making it relevant and stylish all year long.

If you’re anything like me, you love your denim jeans, even those old pair of jeans hanging in the closet can be turned into a fabulously stylish winter outfit. Top those jeans or denim slacks with a light blue solid pocket shirt, add a long silk scarf around your neck just like a tie. Throw on a pinstriped jacket and you are ready to greet the day.

Nothing is off limits, even those white sneakers can add to your winter wardrobe by adding them to a nice floral patterned dress and a nice black or tan leather jacket. The look of the 90’s is making a comeback. It seems every decade of fashion inevitably makes a comeback at some point.

Personally I love overalls and yes, believe it or not they are again or some would say just now, becoming one of those fashion trends for the winter season for 2016. Just add that gotta have black turtleneck underneath, or if you want to change it up pick one of the many colors of winter for 2016, brown, teal, pastel purples, golds or grays. The winter colors this year are more warm and dark.

If you work in an office, and wear a lot of suits, that black turtleneck will turn a summer suit into a winter suit in a flash. The turtleneck worn instead of the typical shirt give this look a more professional and classic touch. At a little color in the form of pocket square and the office will be abuzz over your sense of style and taste.
