Who doesn’t love a relaxing bubble bath with an essential oil infused bath bomb? Whether you’re a Lush addict like me or looking for a last-minute gift ideas, this lavender bath bomb recipe is a must-try. Infused with lavender essential oil and dried lavender flowers you’ll find yourself relaxing after a long day with this easy DIY bath bomb recipe.

For the lavender bath bombs I used the plastic ornament molds. You can also use silicone molds. Have fun and play around with different molds and sizes. I’ve been a bath bomb making machine lately. I plan to individually wrap them in cellophane bags and personalized gift tags for family and friends. Want to make your own bath bomb gifts this year? Here is how..

what you will need:

1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup Citric Acid
1/2 cup cornstarch
3 tablespoons epsom salt
2 teaspoons Sweet Almond Oil
3/4 teaspoon water
15 drops Lavender Oil
– A few tablespoons of dried Organic Lavender Flowers
– Plastic ornament or silicone mold

Instructions:

Step one: In a large bowl combine baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, epsom salt and dried lavender.

Step two: In a small bowl combine almond oil, water, and essential oil.

Step three: Pour wet mixture into dry mixture. Mix with a whisk until fully combined. Test mixture by pressing a handful together. If the mixture doesn’t hold LIGHTLY, with a spray bottle, spray with water once or twice. Avoid adding too much water or the mixture will fizz and not form in the mold correctly. Once it’s the right consistency press mixture into mold and allow to dry at least 2 hours before removing. Set bath bombs on a soft towel to dry overnight.

This recipe will make 3 bath bombs. They are about the same size as a Lush bath bomb so they’re pretty big. Dry time and quantity will depend on the size of your mold.

Aren’t they just a perfect reward after a long hectic day at work?
